Yet some of the bravest words we can say are also the simplest: \u2018I was wrong\u2019, \u2018I am afraid\u2019, \u2018I need help\u2019, \u2018I miss you\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this episode, we meet&nbsp;<strong>Bren\u00e9 Brown<\/strong>&nbsp;and explore her work on vulnerability, courage, shame and empathy. The question is not how to eliminate vulnerability from our lives, but what we do when we feel vulnerable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To protect ourselves, we build armour: perfectionism, humour, control, self-reliance and distance. Sometimes it has helped us. But there comes a point when we can ask whether what protects us from pain also prevents us from connecting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In digital life, that question matters even more. We can reveal so much without truly showing ourselves. Posting photographs, thoughts, places and glimpses of our lives does not necessarily allow other people to meet us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Being authentic, however, does not mean telling everyone everything. Vulnerability also needs&nbsp;<strong>boundaries, discernment and trust<\/strong>. Not everyone is entitled to the same access to our story.
