In the second episode of the new season of “Tra pagine e legami”, Francesco Mazzarella re-reads Laudato si’ by Pope Francis as a text that is not only ecological but deeply human and relational.
The crisis of our common home concerns more than the environment, climate change, pollution or the consumption of resources. It also concerns how we live, communicate, produce, discard and build relationships.
The Earth is wounded because our relationships are wounded too: with creation, with people in poverty, with time, with technology, with others and with ourselves.
In this episode, as part of the journey “Remaining human in our common home”, we ask what it means to care for the world without consuming it, and to use technology in service of life rather than to dominate it.
Because we cannot care for the Earth while continuing to discard one another.
