23 May is not only the anniversary of the Capaci massacre.
It is a question that returns to us.
In this special episode of Tra Pagine e Legami, we begin with Capaci and speak of Mafia victims as both a collective wound and a living responsibility. Not only Falcone, Morvillo and the members of their security detail, but everyone who paid with their life for truth, justice, freedom and dignity.
The Mafia changes its face today: it does not always shoot, often it buys. It does not always threaten, often it entices. It does not always show itself, often it inhabits silence, business, relationships and convenient compromises.
Remembering is not enough.
Memory becomes meaningful only when it changes us.
